Design

This is possibly a mitate-e or analogue print; ; a very rare design and a most unusual format, being a horizontal chûban with bust portraits of actors (chûban yoko okubi-e). The artist, a pupil of Sadamasu, was possibly using a pseudonym in the early days following the Tenpô Reforms ban on actor prints.
