A group of prints (probably a set published circa 1862-67), all with the title Gogyô no uchi* (Series: Five elements): (1R) Wood (Moku): Arashi Kitsusaburo II as Otomo; (2R) Fire (Ka): Kataoka Gato II as Yasaburô, circa 1867; (3R) Earth (Do): Arashi Tokusaburô IV as the wet nurse Shigenoi with Arashi Tokumaru I as the packhorse driver Sankichi in Koi nyôbô somewaka tazuna, Kyoto Kita Theater, 5/1866; (4R) Metal (Gon): Nakamura Sôjûrô as Fukuoka Mitsugi in Ise Ondo; and (5R) Water (Sui): Ichikawa Udanji I as Ohan in Katsuragawa renri no shigarami, Zama Theater, 8/1863; some of the better-printed images of this kind by Yoshitaki, issued relatively early in his long career; *1R and 4R are also inscribed mitate (analogue) at the beginning of the titles.
